Winter and Narragansett aren’t two things people typically associate, but we think Narragansett is the perfect setting for a quiet mid-winter getaway. Beach traffic is gone, the tourists are back home, and the beaches are just as beautiful in the winter! Located less than 3 hours from NYC and 1.5 hour south of Boston, all of the rooms at The Break Hotel provide an in-room fireplace to enjoy on chilly nights. If you’re looking for things to do outside of the hotel, here are 10 ideas while you’re enjoying your winter getaway.

  1. Enjoy the Sand…and the Snow – Bundle up and take a brisk stroll on the snow-covered sand at nearby beaches including Narragansett Beach, Scarborough Beach or Sand Hill Cove/Roger Wheeler State Beach.
  2. “Hang Ten” and Hang Out” Near Narragansett Pier – According to local legend Peter Peter Panagiotis (A.K.A Peter Pan) “The best thing about New England is that you can go out on a perfect break in the winter, and you can have it all to yourself.” After you’re done surfing, be sure to visit Narragansett Surf & Skate or Warm Winds located near historic Narragansett Pier, along with the fantastic restaurants and shops.
