Theatre By The Sea: Mamma Mia!

It’s your turn to have the time of your life at this smash-hit musical that combines ABBA’s greatest hits, including “Dancing Queen,” “S.O.S.,” “Super Trouper,” “Take A Chance on Me” and “The Winner Takes It All,” with an enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship.
4th of July Bash at Sons of Liberty
SOL is celebrating America’s 242nd birthday with drinks, outdoor live music, food and backyard games! There will be two awesome bands performing outside weather permitting. Calaveras will be serving up some delicious, local eats all day and night. Save room for dessert…they’ll be roasting s’mores over the fire to end the night right.
Summer Outdoor Concert Series at Marina Park

The Wakefield Concert Band’s Summer Outdoor concert series is performed at beautiful Marina Park. Bring a comfortable chair, blanket, snacks or a picnic. Children and pets are welcome.

40th South County Balloon Festival

The variety of entertainment for all ages make the South County Balloon Festival one of Rhode Island’s most popular summer events. The Flying Cortes family will perform their exciting trapeze tricks frequently all three days, as will Bwana Jim, whose wildlife show features huge snakes, lizards, raptors and other not-so-cuddly creatures.Glowing hot air balloons and Rhode Island’s own Roomful of Blues are on tap for the 40th South County Balloon Festival, July 20-22, at the URI Athletic Fields on Route 138 in Kingston.

Newport Music Festival – 50th Anniversary Season

The Newport Music Festival celebrates its 50th Anniversary Season from July 4 through July 22, 2018 with 42 concerts and events showcasing Grammy winners and nominees, acclaimed international artists, and beloved resident artists.
Blessing of the Fleet
July 26 – July 28
Over the years this event has grown into a beloved 2-day festival that includes an officially sanctioned road race, a festive parade of boats, great food, live music, and people by the thousands making wonderful new memories.
- Thursday, July 26 – Saturday, July 28: Seafood Festival – Attended by almost 30,000 people each year, the Seafood Festival is a major part of the Blessing of the Fleet Festival event. Find fabulous seafood offered by the Narragansett Lions Club and prepared in the New England tradition, as well as other food vendors, a carnival, our famous beer tent (we also have wine), plus live music performed by popular local bands.
- Friday, July 27: 10-Mile Road Race
Runners, walkers, and wheelchair entrants compete on the scenic course that covers 10 miles. Winding its way through historic Narragansett, it is officially sanctioned and listed as one of the top three races of its distance in New England.
- Saturday, July 28: Blessing of the Fleet
The Blessing of the Fleet is a spectacularly colorful event featuring a parade of decorated commercial and recreational watercraft, large and small. Local clergymen bless each and every vessel as they pass before them, and a panel of judges rate the decorations in a variety of categories.
